Description

Being challenged by Boeing’s 747, Airbus was prompted to respond to Boeing’s dominance in super-heavy passenger aircraft. The first year of the 21st century saw the A380 program launch with the first prototype shown five years later. The 747 has over taken the A380 in length (though it isn’t the longest since the 777-10x is like, a foot longer), but the A380 is still unique for having an upper deck the stretches the entire length of the aircraft.
