< Skogkatt >
The A 7120 will begin its program as a few demonstrators to see the effective marketability of such a radical change in design philosiphy. The Skogkatt, the Norweigen Forest Cat, joins the commercial aviation industry as a short haul airliner. Despite a fundamentally smaller fuselage diameter, the Skogkatt improves on capacity with the unusually shaped fuselage that blends with the wing to even out the lift distribution and generate substantial amounts of lift from the fuselage section. This is a drastic change from the traditional tube-wing design. Adding to the changed aerodynamics is the use of a V-tail to reduce the number of empennages while having a physical component of stability. Other advancements that are being examined are advanced dropped hing flaps, and cockpit instrumentation and configuration. Smaller engines already available to the industry are used due to reduced drag from the airframe.

Skogkatt marks the first time with A series airliner programs recieving a name to go along with the number designation.
