Description
Built for long-distance business flights at high altitudes and high speeds, the Sparrow is a fast yet small plane. Built as part of the bird-series of aircraft, Avrodyne’s Sparrow is a concept supersonic private jet to rival C7 Aerospace Division’s Velociteze, a subsonic private jet.
Avrodyne has made many concepts for other craft, and holds the original blueprints for a craft that fellow spaceplane company Aeris used in the design of their successful Aeris 4A SSTO. Avrodyne is still thinking about whether or not to build the design of their Peregrine SSTO, of which the Aeris 4A’s design comes from.
The Avrodyne Sparrow contains many inspirations from other aircraft. The cabin is inspired by that of the Learjet 45, and the wings are like that of the Concorde, with the folding wingtips being inspired by the XB-70 supersonic bomber. Avrodyne highly suggests flying the Sparrow on sightseeing trips around Kerbin, but suggests against flying into space.
