Myasishchev M-50/52 prototype supersonic strategic bomber for when an ICBM is too easy.
Mach 1.2 at sea level, 2+ at altitude.
Armed with 18 CR1 area denial bomblets.
Take-off speed is around 110, use burners to get up quickly. Handling is a little sluggish when armed, better once you’ve dropped your load. Maneuverability is vastly improved when you open the bomb bay for some reason, cargo bay aerodynamics have never made any sense.
I put anhedral wings on this because I felt it needed it, although I don’t normally like doing so. Rudder authority suffers as a result, and you’ll need to counteract the roll back that occurs when you turn. Avoid using it too much.
WARNING: drop bombs at subsonic speeds only or you risk blowing off your own tail. True story.
