Description
Launch a processing lab and crew all in one go. The ascent is a bit interesting because once you escape the atmosphere you need to decouple the command module, turn around, redock with the station, and then circularize. The clock is ticking. (TL6)

Similar to the US Air Force’s Manned Orbiting Laboratory or the Soviet Almaz Space Station, this contains a crew module and an orbiting lab. To save weight, it has a fairly specific launch profile. Use the Morlock-style launcher to set apoapsis to about 250 km. In the 10 minutes or so between exiting the atmosphere and reaching apoapsis, stage the aeroshell separating the command module from the lab. Undock the command module and use RCS to turn it about and redock with the lab. Finally, turn the whole thing about and circularize.
