The Consolidated B-24 was one of the main bombers of the USAAF during the Second World War, used primarily in Allied daylight strategic bombing missions over Germany alongside the Boeing B-17. It peaked over it’s Boeing counterpart with range, bomb load and newer other technology which gave it the edge in Japanese bombing raids.
