Description
Light VTOL trainer quad-copter.
Unlike a proper VTOL plane, the Bumblebee has no horizontal flight mode, it’s all hover, all the time. It has scads of endurance however, thanks to the Junos used for hovering. Tilt to fly in some particular direction, fine-tune with RCS – it has a bunch of beefy Vernors pointing in all directions.
Hint: landing is easy if you set the Junos a bit below 1.0 TWR, and then bump K on RCS to slow your way down. I’m using this to practice flying the real ones, which have more complications.
A stock aircraft called Bumblebee. Built with 35 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1.
