Description

The BAK-9802 Gaudium is the ultralight member of the Angelus range of Eve lifters. She is not reusable. She will take a single kerbal to orbit from Eve sea level, however, with a take-off mass of only 7924 kg, including the crew member.

Vital statistics

Take-off mass: 7924 kg
Launch altitude: 34.8 km
Time to launch altitude: < 21 min

Operation

Toggle torque and fuel cells (action 1). Set collective to 8 degrees. Increase torque until take-off. Increase collective to 14 degrees while maintaining rpm under 140. Once at 2 km altitude, apply full torque. Once over 28 km, decrease collective to 12 degrees. Observe fuel level in the upper stages. When they start draining, stage the launcher and fly to orbit.

NOTE: Because of the poor aerodynamics in the upper stages, follow a fairly steep arc to get out of what remains of the atmosphere before building up a lot of speed.

Actions

1 - Toggle fuel cells and torque
U/D - Collective
Throttle - Torque
