Description

The BAK-23 Super Kestrel is Brikoleur Aerospace Kombine’s flagship tilt-rotor craft. This is the passenger version, capable of ferrying three crew and 24 passengers in complete comfort to hard-to-access locations. It is capable of horizontal and vertical take-offs and landings and cruises at a stately 80 m/s.

Horizontal take-off

Set level flight regime (action 9). Power on (action 1). Maximum torque (forward axis). When moving well forward, collective to take-off preset (action 3). Take off normally.

Flight

Set collective to preset matching your current or desired speed: 3 - 30-50 m/s, 4 - 50-70 m/s, 5 - maximum straight and level cruise speed.

Transition between horizontal and vertical flight:

Toggle flight regime (action 9) at a safe altitude (about 100 m radar altitude ASL). Adjust flight controls as desired.

1 - Toggle engines, clutch, power
2 - Collective preset hover
3 - Collective preset take-off/approach
4 - Collective preset climb
5 - Collective preset cruise
9 - Toggle between level flight and hover

F/B - Torque
U/D - Collective
L/R - Balance between left and right rotors
