Further reduced drag on the airframe. Also ditched the wider parts of the rudder and elevators and the spotlights. Top speed increased from 182m/s to 189m/s.
Modified the engine and replaced the turbine shaft with a less draggy one. Top speed increased from 167m/s to 182m/s.
Top speed is measured at sea level using nearly empty tanks.
Economy cruise: throttle at 50%, cruising altitude ~3500m.
Range: to be determined.
Take off is best done at 50% throttle or you’ll flip the plane due to the torque.
It’s often wise to disable one or more control surface when using an autopilot at high speed. Or at least reduce control authority.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1. It should work fine in 1.4.1.
