Attention: my advanced vehicle suspension relies on the flexibility of part joints. It will not work with Kerbal Joint Reinforcement enabled.
Built for a mountain climbing challenge this modified version of the R1Azi1 uses my mod 77Racing Wheels. https://kerbalstuff.com/mod/1369/77%20Racing%20Wheels
Until KSP 1.1 arrives, wheels can’t slip and therefore I’ve built a custom suspension to help the situation a bit, it will flex and hopefully absorb unwanted forces but every speed and situation has it’s limits, just like in real life. Use moderate speeds, this one is built for off road racing, not for trying to exceed 100 m/s. Adjust the spoiler angle for high speeds (above 20 m/s) and learn to toggle while driving such things like rear wheel steering and rear wheel motors. Use the downforce thrusters to help maintain grip and pitch while driving on steep mountain sides. The jet engines on the rear are perfect for climbing mountains and for maintaining a cruise speed of around 40 on the plains and the valleys. Driving with lights on is nice, but you’ll have less downforce.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.0.5.
