A mod aircraft called Douglas DC-10-30. Built with 75 of the worst parts, its root part is 31DC10.

Built in the maybe SPH, maybe VAB in KSP version 1.6.something.

The Boeing 747 introduced wide bodies to the world of aviation, so Douglas got to work on an essentially smaller version of the Boeing 747. The Douglas DC-10 had 3x CF-6 engines which were required to produce enough thrust, while requiring less fuel than the Boeing 747 to fly the same distance. This came in the cost of fewer passengers. However, due to the rushed design of the Douglas DC-10 (many technologies were taken directly from the Douglas DC-8 and incorporated to this airliner), there were many flaws and ultimately a series of accidents caused the airliner to develop an unreliable reputation despite beating the Lockheed L-1011 Tristar to the market. Don’t worry, there’s no explody™ cargo doors or flippy™ engines in this version of the DC-10, which is only 50% the size of the original version, because of, well, laziness.

The DC-10 lives on today only in cargo versions. Despite a bumpy start, the DC-10 went on to become a safe and reliable airliner, but it wasn’t too long after the launch of the aircraft until twinjets started to pop up into the market, which were more fuel efficient and on top of that was the rising oil prices. This made the DC-10 ultimately be the doom of the Douglas aircraft manufacturer, causing it to merge with McDonnell and eventually, Boeing.
