Description
This is a revised version of the first exploration craft I came up with, back in KSP v1.0-v1.05. Anywhere it’s lander section could touchdown and get back to orbit from, this design has gone. Starts with 5400DV, but since the lander uses up it’s own fuel to land and come back, it’s actual DV is definitely more than just that.
This design is also the first I ever launched empty, to fuel it up in orbit -which makes a lot more sense, when it comes to crafts of this size.
A stock rocket called Explorer Mk1. Built with 184 of the finest parts, its root part is cupola.
Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.4.5.
