The F-100 Super Sabre was a fighter aircraft developed by North American Aviation. It was the first fighter in the United States Air Force to be able to break the sound barrier. The F-100 was especially good at high speeds and which earned it the respect of most pilots who flew her. The aircraft was developed after the f-86 air frame could not support tests preformed to support the need for a fighter that can break the sound barrier. The result of the aircraft that would meet these requirements was the F-100, Americas largest single fighter.
