Arsenal VB.10C-1

.
.
The VB.10 was a French prototype fighter aircraft built shortly after the Second World War but designed before the war. It was designed to overcome the limitations that engines of the time posed with its rather unique engine configuration. This configuration had two engines in tandem, one in front, and one behind the cockpit. These drove two contra-rotating propellers at the front of the aircraft, providing the power of a dual engine fighter in the body of a single engine fighter. The aircraft was designed and finalized before the war but was not produced due to the Nazi invasion of France in 1940. The design was later picked up post war and would be built and ordered by the French just after liberation in 1944, with the first flight taking place in 1945. The program was, however dropped by the French with the development of the jet engine which made this aircraft obsolete. The aircraft in many ways was very similar to the Kawasaki Ki-64 which shares the unique engine configuration. At this point the VB.10 is my favorite prop plane (but that changes almost every week so…)

This is my first aircraft with the Breaking Ground DLC and I hope to do more in the future. This is also my first craft in a while. I’ve just been really hammered down sense classes began again and have just been burned out mentally and creatively. I am, however, getting into the swing of things and hope to get back into KSP so here we go!
