Rover mk3

A small, compact single seat rover with small science experiments. Usually mounted in pairs to the Lander mk5 this rover is deployed for short scouting missions to nearby biomes or ore concentrations. Capable of driving safely at 25-35m/s on bodies like the Mun or Ike, even with hard jumps and falls. Features a roll cage of small landing legs to protect the passenger and instruments. Carries one forward facing probe core for easy driving without a Kerbal while the Rovemate probe body provides Kerbnet access with 100% anomaly detection. It is also available with an in-line clam-shell deployment case.

Does not include Materials Bay, Mystery Goo or ability to generate crew reports.

Rover does not come with any means of reattachment. Once deployed it’s self sufficient.

Side Note: This rovers basic form is my oldest operating design. Been using it since early 2014 and it still holds up after all that has changed. Sure, some new science parts came about and others changed, but the main chassis has proven itself on every body I land it on.

Built with 37 of the finest parts, its root part is roverBody.

Built in the VAB in KSP version 1.2.2.
