Nuclear Engine Mini Engineering Transport Tug - Expedited (NEMETTE) Module

The smaller sister to the NEMO module, the NEMETTE is used for interplanetary transport of small payloads for orbital construction. In addition to two standard ports, the two Jr. ports enable craft can also double as a Science Football carrier. The small scale of the craft and high efficiency dual LV-N thursters allow it to make trips at off peak times, or expedite shipping with more direct routes.

The NEMETTE was designed under a short preiod of time to meet a mission critical launch window. Its designers, not happy with the final product tagged Expedited on the designation to remind the administration that any problems that arise come from not enough testing. Most of the docking clearance issues have been fixed by the new probe core and adjustment of various parts. However, it is still only equipped with 2 short range antennas. It was developed after comms networks had been established across the system. Mission planners favor very accurate injection burns with minor adjustments made immediately after. This eliminated the need for mid-course corrections and long range comms dishes were deemed unnecessary.
