Introducing the new airlifter, The TAL-01 (Tactical Air lifter). The idea for the design came from the famous XB-70 Valkyrie bomber. It’s capable of achieving more than 1000m/s and can take off at 40-50m/s.
The TAL takes the tilt wing function from the XB-70 using compression lift. At the speed of sound, shockwaves travel away from the aircraft, if the shockwaves can be redirected underneath the wings, the shockwaves can help generate additional lift.
(This attachment may or may not be included idk if I added it) The attachment you see here is the kick start attachment. TSoL (Three Stages of Lift-off) has been used for the start of the flight profile for the TAL-01. TSoL consists of
1. Firing engines until 110kn
2. decouple launch stability enhancer
3. 50m/s take-off
The TAL-01 has fitted with 10 whiplash engines to provide the extra
Omph that the TAL need. Fail safe features has been added, Altera’s engineers called it OSSOSF(One Shall Stand One Shall Fall) meaning that if one engine were to fail the 9 engines will still provide more than enough power to keep the airlifter supersonic and still run efficiently.
A noticeable feature of the TAL is its delta wings. For those who don’t know what a delta wing is we will explain it. The rearward sweep of the wing lowers the airspeed normal to the leading edge of the wing therefore it allows the craft to fly at high supersonic speeds (Part of this was read from Wikipidia)
An added feature to the TAL-01 is the front ailerons for control at high altitudes.
