Description
I recently got the Breaking Ground DLC, and so far it seems interesting. The gist of this craft is to use the central wheel as a reaction wheel. Increase the max torque on the rotor to pitch up and decrease it to pitch down.
Notes:
-Takeoff off the runway, as trying to take off on the runway could destroy the runway segment (because of the torque i guess?)
-For takeoff, set the max torque % to at least 50% on the ground and set it to 80+% to lift off at 30+m/s.
-On landing, set the torque % to 0 (basically turn off the rotor motor) but don’t stop the central wheel fully. You might be able to get away with not following this but so far it’s been a nice rule of thumb.
A stock aircraft called Look Ma No Elevators. Built with 82 of the finest parts, its root part is Mark2Cockpit.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.7.1.
