Description

The KH-74B Keelback is a medium military transport helicopter and is based on the KH-74A. It features a number of improvements which include a nose mounted FLIR turret, chaff and flare dispensers, MAWS (Missile Approach and Warning System) and DIRCM modules (Directed Infrared Countermeasures). As with all other Keelback variants, the KH-74B has great performance and handling characteristics. An advanced fly-by-wire system provides for smooth handling qualities while its two engines help power a 5-bladed composite rotor. It is also capable of auto-throttle, a feature that allows the Keelback to maintain a fixed altitude while in-flight or during a hover.

Just like the KH-74A variant, the KH-74B can carry 18 Kerbals or cargo inside its cabin.

Armament:

• 2 x M2 Browning .50cal machine guns (door mounted; one on each side of the helicopter).

Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.3.1.
