Mk1 crew ssto with 11 seats and a long reach, with 3k delta V left in orbit. Has a docking port, radiator, solar panel and dual reaction wheels, but a comms antenna and rcs are not currently mounted.

Set prograde hold as soon as airplane is rolling. Manual input can be restricted to heading corrections only. Allow plane to climb after takeoff - best fuel economy is to stay subsonic below 6km - but use action groups 1-3 to influence climb angle. If speed starts to decay, nudge the nose down a little.
At around 7 or 8km airplane will start to level off , even with nose up trim. At 250 m/s go to neutral or nose down trim and you can (optionally) toggle on nukes with AG 4. At 440 m/s cancel nukes and resume climbing, but don’t let it climb too steep - start pushing the nose down again with AG3 if pitch angle exceeds 10/15 degrees.
Level off at 19-22km for the speedrun. Once over 1400m/s, toggle the nukes on again, stay prograde. When the jets flame out, set action group 1 (nose up) for a gentle climb out of the atmosphere.
