Instructions for vertical take off

• Lock the brakes, turn on SAS, deploy flaps with AG2 and press stage button to start the engine.
• Press RCS to switch to VTOL Mode.
• Throttle to ~50% and let the rear engine spool up until the thrust is stable.
• Gradually increase throttle to ~75%.
• At this point, the aircraft should start to move upward, you can unlock the brakes.
• Gain some altitude and pitch down slightly to move forward.
• Increase throttle to 100% and try to pitch down without losing or gaining altitude to get more horizontal speed.
• Upon reaching 25m/s, switch back to normal mode and retract the landing gears.
• Congrats, you successfully took off !

You can trim the Front to Back balance with the F/B Axis Group.
