IMPORTANT: Forgot to tweak landing gear steering and brakes! Just turning on steering for front wheels should do the trick!
First attempt at a super maneuverable plane. I think it works pretty well, but it is slower to accelerate and relatively heavy for only running on two engines. It comes with drop tanks, and is best used in SAS at least when taking off and flying with the tanks. Once the tanks are released it becomes far more maneuverable and SAS isn’t as necessary. This craft is best flown with a joystick or little ‘love taps’ on the keyboard though. At least at high speeds, it is prone to flipping. Tapping the keys to turn keeps the turn radius pretty tight and prevents you from losing most of your speed.
Also did a stress test with this thing to see how quickly it could pull out of a dive. I’m pretty sure being at an altitude of 12000m is irrelevant, but going at a speed of about 340m/s towards the ground takes a little less than 500m to pull up and survive. At that speed it doesn’t break either. If for no other reason I’m happy with this.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.0.5.
