Description
A mod aircraft called KAASD ASI-12 ‘Osprey’. Built with 81 of the finest parts, its root part is Type-57-Cockpit.
The KAASD ASI-12 ‘Osprey’ is a short-range, semi-stealth Air Superiority Interceptor
(ie a traditional point-interceptor, with increased dogfight capability by the way of thrust vectoring and supermanoeuverability).
As such it’s fairly lightweight, doesn’t have a lot of fuel, and does have a lot of thrust. It is designed to climb extremely fast to intercept incoming fighters, lobbing it’s 10 AIM-120 missiles at high speed over long distances. As configured it only has 2 Sidewinders for medium-close range protection as though it can dogfight, this is not its primary role.
The large delta wing with integrated canards allow for easy high-speed flight, while offering the aerodynamic flexibility to allow for slow high-AoA fighting keeping this naturally unstable aircraft flyable.
Built in the SPH in KSP version 1.12.3.
