Soviet ICBM lower assembly suitable for launching 2.2t payloads into orbit.

If you have downloaded my previous craft (mostly Soyuz and Progress) and tried to fly them in version 1.0.5, you will have noticed that the nesting jets used to discard the four radially mounted boosters cause the core stage to explode. Replace them with this subassembly and you will solve that problem.

I also typically adjust the thrust of the rockets to have the TWR at launch at around 2.0. I never got the hang of throttling back during the ascent. You might also want to reduce the fuel by stacking smaller tanks or emptying them. When you discard the boosters when the craft is at a more horizontal attitude thrusting for orbit, they don’t make the nice (and safe) Korolev’s Cross.
